LangSmith Preview Builds: Test agent changes before production
LangSmith now offers PR-based preview deployments for agents before production
“Preview builds in LangSmith deployment bring that workflow to agents. A pull request gets a temporary deployment that your team can test and share without changing production.”
LangChain has added preview build functionality to LangSmith deployments, enabling teams to spin up temporary agent environments automatically when a pull request is opened. This mirrors standard software CI/CD workflows and addresses the unique challenge that agent behavior can shift unexpectedly after deployment. It's a meaningful developer experience improvement for teams shipping production agents but is a platform feature rather than a foundational capability shift.
