WWDC26: Meet Trust Insights | Apple
Apple introduces Trust Insights in iOS 27, a privacy-preserving framework to detect coerced user actions from social engineering scams.
“Authentication confirms who, but not whether they're acting freely.”
At WWDC26 Apple launched Trust Insights, an iOS 27 Swift framework that uses on-device ML to detect when a user is likely being coached by a scammer and surface a coercion-risk signal to apps while keeping all device-sourced data local. It matters because it reframes fraud defense around behavioral context rather than authentication, and pushes privacy-preserving on-device inference as a platform-level anti-scam primitive for developers.
