Microsoft announced automatic backup immutability for Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance, protecting the most recent 7 days of backups from modification or deletion by anyone, including admins and Microsoft itself. The feature is enabled by default with no customer configuration required. This is a cloud database security feature with no direct AI signal.
