Databricks introduced Unity Catalog Pages, a human-curated component of their Genie Ontology system that lets data stewards author authoritative definitions of business concepts, metrics, and terms. These definitions feed directly into Genie AI agents as a verified context layer, addressing the problem of AI systems guessing or using inconsistently defined terms across an organization. The feature is integrated into Unity Catalog's existing discovery interface and pairs with an automatically inferred knowledge store to form a unified enterprise context layer.
