At Microsoft Build, principal PM Inbal Sagiv detailed extending Foundry Local so AI models and agent frameworks run locally in enterprise and fully disconnected environments like public safety command centers and critical infrastructure. Citing forecasts of 1.3 billion AI agents by 2028 and 82% of organizations adopting agents within three years, the session frames sovereignty, regulatory control, and offline resilience as hard constraints driving local-first agentic AI.
