Applied Intuition launches Dana, a platform to democratize autonomous systems development

“There's no reason autonomy should be this obscure, difficult technology. Our vision for that is a high school kid that can make iPhone apps should be able to make autonomous systems.”

Applied Intuition, a physical AI company focused on making machines like cars, trucks, tanks, and drones intelligent, announced Dana — described as the biggest launch in company history — a platform consolidating nearly a decade of autonomy tooling to make autonomous system development as accessible as mobile app development. The company argues physical AI companies will ultimately be larger than digital AI incumbents given their impact on the global economy. This signals a democratization push in the autonomy stack, similar to what low-code tools did for software.
