Microsoft announced new preview capabilities in Foundry Toolboxes—Skills, Work IQ, Fabric IQ, Browser Automation, and Tool Search—plus Routines in the Foundry Agent Service, all aimed at the discovery, management, and execution challenges of production-grade agents. Tool Search in particular reduces cost and context bloat by retrieving only relevant tools at runtime instead of sending every tool definition each turn, which matters as enterprise toolboxes scale to hundreds of tools.
