Making agent memory more reliable, transparent, and production-ready
Microsoft Foundry Agent Service adds procedural memory so agents reliably reuse proven execution patterns in production.
“agents often know the right facts and still fail the task because they do not execute the right procedure”
Microsoft AI Foundry launched procedural memory in its Agent Service, letting agents retain and reuse successful execution patterns rather than just facts, alongside new management UI and time-to-live controls. Combined with the agent optimizer and the open-source STATE-Bench benchmark, it reportedly yields ~5% improvement on STATE-Bench and Tau-Bench, signaling a broader industry push toward reliable, self-improving production agents.
