AWS has launched Amazon Bedrock AgentCore payments into general availability, allowing AI agents to autonomously pay for APIs, MCP tools, and content using Coinbase and Stripe stablecoin wallets—without human intervention. The service abstracts payment protocol complexity, now supporting both x402 and the Machine Payment Protocol (MPP), and introduces a spending-ceiling 'upto' scheme for dynamic pay-per-usage billing. This marks a significant infrastructure milestone for the agentic economy, giving enterprises the guardrails and observability needed to let agents transact at scale in production.
