Microsoft announced Frontier Tuning at Build 2026, a reinforcement learning system that customizes AI models on enterprise data without leaving compliance boundaries. It combines a managed RL environment, business-specific data ingestion, and tuned model outputs that inherit existing access controls. Currently in private preview via Forward Deployed Engineers, with broader availability coming to Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry.
