OpenAI launched ChatGPT Work on July 9th, a powerful agentic product offering cloud-based task execution with headless Chrome, internet-connected code execution, persistent filesystem, sub-agents, and scheduled automations. It is restricted to $20/month and above subscribers and exposes GPT-5.6 Sol/Luna/Terra models with multiple reasoning tiers. This represents OpenAI's clearest push toward persistent, autonomous task-completion agents embedded directly in its consumer product.
