AWS has launched Agent Registry as generally available, targeting the enterprise problem of agent sprawl where teams build in isolation with no shared inventory or governance. The registry provides semantic search, access control, lifecycle tracking, and approval workflows across agents, tools, and skills. This signals that agentic AI at scale is moving from a build problem to a discovery and governance problem.
